Maple Syrup Grades
All maple syrup sold in Ontario is graded for colour. The grade depends greatly on harvest date, location, sun exposure, and temperature among other factors.
- Golden, Delicate Taste
- Amber, Rich Taste
- Dark, Robust Taste
- Very Dark, Strong Taste
During the 2025 harvest, we produced a very small amount of golden at the beginning of the season, quite a bit of amber, and a large quantity of the dark grade! Come on over and explore the different grades we have to offer in our self-serve shed!
The sugar shack will be open for you to drop-in and say "hi" during March Break (March 16-20) and Maple Weekend (April 4 & 5) from 10:00am to 4:00pm daily.
