Maple Syrup Grades
All maple syrup sold in Ontario is graded for colour. The grade depends greatly on harvest date, location, sun exposure, and temperature among other factors.
- Golden, Delicate Taste
- Amber, Rich Taste
- Dark, Robust Taste
- Very Dark, Strong Taste
During the 2025 harvest, we produced a very small amount of golden at the beginning of the season, quite a bit of amber, and a large quantity of the dark grade! We are sold out of golden, but we have lots of delicious amber and dark in our self-serve shed!
